Susie MermaidSusie came into Pilates through her love of movement and by recommendation after a previous back and shoulder injury. Susannah originally trained with Stott Pilates in 2010 and later converted to the classical method. She is a patient Pilates teacher with a calming and nurturing approach. As a holistic therapist too, Susannah combines her practical experience with her natural intuition to provide you with a very personalised Pilates experience to enhance the balance of mind, body and spirit. Susannah will guide and encourage you to meet your goals and in return you will feel fitter, healthier, happier and more confident.

The Pink Ribbon Programme

The Pink Ribbon Program is a rehabilitative 6 week course of gentle post operative Pilates based exercises that have been designed for clients with specific limitation after breast cancer surgery. The pink ribbon program is dedicated to promoting healthy lifestyle and body image in those who have been through breast cancer.

The founder of the program is USA based Doreen Puglisi who survived breast cancer. She is the chair person of the Health Education & Exercise Science department at county college New Jersey and holds a Masters degree in Exercise Science.

What do the private sessions consist of?

The Pink Ribbon Program will help stretch and strengthen the shoulder, chest, back, and abdominal muscles, allowing women to regain full range of motion to those areas affected by breast cancer surgery. This program is suitable whether your surgery was recent or several years ago and accomodates all fitness levels.

    Private Pilates sessions during your pregnancy will be tailored to your specific needs while helping you engage mind and body, prepare for the birth and maintain a sense of wellness during this special time. Susie will guide and support you through each semester.

    Postnatal Pilates

    After the birth you may wish to carry on with your Pilates sessions and with your doctors permission this can be 8 weeks after the birth. Susie will help you to gently re connect with your body and mind, build confidence and tone up while addressing any muscular imbalances.
