Life Coaching
What is Life Coaching?
Life Coaching is an emerging and rapidly growing field. A Life Coach coaches people to enable them to improve, change and develop desired aspects of their lives.
“In essence, if we want to direct our lives, we must take control of our consistent actions. It's not what we do once in a while that shapes our lives, but what we do consistently.”
― Anthony Robbins
What is Executive Coaching?
Maintaining a healthy work life balance is becoming increasingly difficult. A by-product of executives progressing within their organisations is often one of increasing work load and pressure. Work pressure can turn to stress, stress to lack of sleep, lack of sleep to illness and so the spiral may continue… The benefit of external support from a neutral source where one is free to discuss his/her issues, thoughts, goals and worries can have massive and positive effect on the executive in question and consequently the organisation.
We have found that as a result of executive coaching within their personally devised, holistic programmes, our clients find it easier to focus, are able to manage their time more effectively and their overall happiness levels are increased. They are also able to maintain a better work life balance by learning how to departmentalise their home life from their life at the office.

Life and Executive Coaching with Sublime
At Sublime we are very aware of the interaction between body and mind and recognise that there are times when special attention needs to be focused on these issues outside of one’s physical practice. This is when we have found that an NLP practitioner can help in the way of job coaching and as a life guide.
As part of the Sublime programme we can provide mentoring and coaching interventions to help clients focus on their objectives and assist them in taking control of their lives.
The Sublime Life and Executive Coaching Programme is based on a series of 3-6 sessions individually-tailored to the client requirements. Our NLP-certified coach has a special interest in clear thinking and practical life change.
During the 60-90 minute sessions she works with clients to help them rediscover core interests, improve motivation and focus, develop and improve relationships and address the work/life balance. At the heart of her approach is the belief that by reframing problems, clients can be more resourceful, flexible and inventive.
What is NLP?
The name Neuro-Linguistic Programming was invented in the early 70's as an attempt to describe in a succinct manner the scope of this extensive body of insights and skills:
- Neuro refers to how the mind and body interact
- Linguistic refers to the insights into a person’s thinking that can be obtained by careful attention to to their use of language
- Programming refers, not to the activity of programming, but to the study of the thinking and behavioural patterns or ‘programmes’ which people use in their daily lives.
Neuro linguistic programming refers to a stated connection between the neurological processes (neuro), language (linguistic) and behavioral patterns that have been learned through experience (programming) and can be organised to achieve specific goals in life.
Founders of the NLP technique, Richard Bandler and John Grinder, say that NLP can be used with traditional forms of therapy such as psychoanalysis to address problems such as phobias, depression, habit disorder, psychosomatic illnesses and learning disorders and helps people attain fuller and richer lives.
What is Hypnosis?
Contrary to popular belief, hypnosis is not a state of deep sleep. It involves the induction of a trance-like condition, but when in it, the client is actually in an enhanced state of awareness, concentrating entirely on the hypnotherapist’s voice. In this state, the conscious mind is suppressed and the subconscious mind is revealed. The hypnotherapist is, in this state able to suggest positive and empowering ideas, concepts and lifestyle adaptations to the client, the seeds of which become firmly planted. The practice of promoting healing or positive development in any way is known as hypnotherapy. As such, hypnotherapy is a kind of psychotherapy.
With traditional hypnosis simple direct suggestions are made to the unconscious mind. By contrast, Ericksonian Hypnosis utilising metaphors in the form of short stories with the use of hypnotic language along with Neuro-Linguistic Programming techniques, as used by our practitioners Amanda and Ann, we believe work to greater effect. In our opinion this is because today people are quite rightly taught to question everything especially when it relates to matters of their physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing.
There are many different methods that are used to reach the unconscious mind to invoke change. Every person is different, so it stands to reason that the best results will be obtained by utilising the methods that each person will respond to.
According to the specific needs of each of our individual clients, our executive life coach will incorporate tools and techniques designed to help take control of one’s own mind and direct it towards a desired outcome. This coaching along with a programme of body movement sessions and therapeutic, relaxing treatments allows for a complete body and mind overhaul making daily expectations enjoyable and life’s small stresses fade into insignificance.
