Kate Mullock
Kate is a Shiatsu practioner who works from her garden studio in Barnes, SW London.
She became interested in the holistic principles of oriental medicine theory and how the power of touch can be used to relax, renew and revive. Having received some Shiatsu treatments herself some years ago and experienced the benefits first hand she decided that a career change was in order.
Shiatsu is an ancient Japanese method of bodywork that stems from similar principles to Acupuncture – any complaint physical/psychological is evidence that smooth flow of energy has been disrupted. Shiatsu helps to stimulate the body to re-establish a more healthy balance but is non-invasive – pressure stretches and gentle joint manipulation are used. It is really pleasure to receive, and each treatment is tailored to the needs of the body/mind at that time.
Shiatsu is useful for many common health issues from musculo-skeletal aches and pains, digestive/menstrual/menopausal problems, to difficulties sleeping or feeling fatigued, depressed or anxious. It is a great way to maintain health and well being, naturally.
Kate’s background prior to becoming a Shiatsu practitioner was in Marketing and Branding both as a consultant and for a number of blue-chip companies.
