Daniel Miracapillo
Originally from Italy, Daniel has been studying, practising and teaching yoga in London for many years - a certified teacher with the International Yoga Alliance. He has an Honours Degree in Philosophy, a Master Degree in Buddhist Studies, a PGCE in Education and a Professional qualification in Reflexology. Daniel has studied different styles of Yoga (Ashtanga Vinyasa, Sivananda, Hatha, Systemic and Bhakti) and is currently teaching Mindfulness Yoga, inspired by his Zen Buddhist practice, as he is ordained lay bodhisattva in the Sōtō Zen tradition.
In Mindfulness (Sati) Yoga practice, we experience together the taste of peace by cultivating awareness of the body and the breath through āsana (postures), prāṇāyāma (breathing practices) and shikantaza (just sitting quietly), free from the incessant cravings and demands of the 'monkey mind', redescovering how to abide in the fullness of the present moment through mindful - yet playful - attention to movement and stillness.
